Hi, i constantly dream about new york and long ever so much to visit there. As a hijabi i fear not being able to fully immerse with the people, not learn more about their culture or not being able to just be foolishly happy in the restaurants and sites I've been wanting to visit for as long as i remember. What is the possibility in you opinion of such occurring? I understand you're from new york and I'm from sydney (haven't experienced anything here) and i really really hope its the same there x
Selam sister. I’m so sorry for the late reply, haven’t been on in ages. I’m actually from upstate NY, but I’ve gone to nyc multiple times so you’re in luck! The city is very diverse, no one will judge you, as no one has the time to. It’s a very busy city and everyone is on the move to acknowledge the people around them. There’s so many different cultures and religions residing there, so you won’t feel misplaced. I definitely recommend it, if you’re of age, come out and explore the city. It’s a beautiful place and there’s always so much to do. You won’t regret it! If I’m not too late, message me before you go and I can tell you about some cool spots! (Ps. If you want the same city vibe but don’t want to be overwhelmed with all of the people and fast pace atmosphere I highly recommend checking out Toronto.)
